For some of you who haven't used your motorhome over the winter months, and with spring coming you might be thinking about getting it ready and checked over for your first road trip this year.
It is important to do this with plenty of time before your trip, in case there are any issues that you need to address.
It is recommended to keep a checklist, and perform a thorough inspection before any trip to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
The list below has 12 items you should check before going on a road trip:
- Driving License, insurance and MOT documents are up to date
- Tyres: Check tyre pressures and condition
- Engine: Check the oil and fluid levels
- Brakes and lights
- Fuel and propane levels
- Electrical and plumbing systems
- Batteries condition, and if you have a solar panel, is it clean
- Interior and exterior condition
- First aid kit and emergency supplies
- Water and waste tanks
- Navigation and entertainment systems
- A valid Emergency road-side recovery package
